I don't know what happened to me on last weekend o.O I'm not a Korean drama fan and I've never watch any of those dramas either and I never eat korean food before :P
Well, I tried this delicious korean recipe anyway and it works!
WeEeeEEe ^_____^ Pretty easy, healty and colourful! :)

Making the Bulgogi (Korean bbq beef)

The ingredients:

1/2kg beef [sliced thinly]
5tbsp light soy sauce
2.5tbsp sugar
7 cloves garlic [minced]
1 medium size onion [minced]
1 medium size asian pear [minced]
1tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1tbsp honey
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup water [if necessary]

Sliced beef thinly.

Grate/mince garlics, onion & pear

Add in the soy sauce, sugar, pepper & honey.

Mix well and leave to marinade at least 3hours in the fridge. Once done u can grill the meat on charcoal bbq, in an oven or griddle pan or use in your stew [Bulgogi Jungol].

Making the Bulgogi Jungol [Stew]

The Ingredients:

Spring onions
Button mushroom
Enoki mushroom
Tofu
Carrot
Green or red chili
Beef stock/broth

1) Sliced and arranged veggies in a large shallow skillet/pan and place the bulgogi beef in the center. Add sliced red/green chili on top of the beef.

2) Add the beef stock/broth [i'm mixing the 1/2 cube beef stock with 1cup water]. Close the lid and cook for 8 minutes. Open the lid and spread/turn the beef around. Close the lid and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.

Bulgogi Jungol done!

Mentalnotes:  The stew gravy looks like this because I simmer the stew slightly longer... biasa lar Malaysian welldone cooked beef [at least I am...heheee]. Kalo masak 2-3 minit mmg lar nampak cantik. It's up to you okay :)

Serve it immediately! just like that or with a bowl of rice...delicious!

Sluurrrpppppp! WaaAAWeeEEeeEe O.O
Delicious woooo...

Alkesah, after work yesterday cek escape from going to gym...aheheeee ;B
Bukan sebab apa tau...tak bawak beg gym...aceh! and furthermore yesterday was a bit tiring. Balik rumah pun dah tak larat nak masak [bunyi macam alasan jer kan]. Tadi plak 'bibik' baru jer text me beliau baru lepas kemas rumah. Cuci calat tip top punyer! :) [thank u 'bibik rowkk'] so, segala aktiviti memasak adalah dilarang. Nanti dapur belemoih...bulih lagu tu? huhuuuuu

so, had dinner kat luar. Tapi perjalanan nak cari tempat makan, nak makan apa, makan di mana sungguh mencabar! ~.~

Singgah 2-3 kedai, sumer tak beshhh...konon tak mo makan nasi [coz that sound soooooooooo heavy] singgah kedai nasi arab [1st time want to try] erkkkk!? dah masuk dalam, tengok menu, tapi tak der bau kelazatan makanan langsung! tengok plak ada couple tu makan tak habis! still tinggal 1/2 plate of rice lagi! dua-dua plak tu...owhhh! tak jadi lar nak try nasi arab.....
Singgah plak kat new gorgeous food court. Tak der plak tulis Non-Halal ker Halal ker, tapi kat sebelah hotel terkemuka...promo bukan main. Tengok stalls sumer tulis ciner...ada pork plak tu..uwekkk! :-/

Finally back to square.....makan kat kedai yg slalu makan...punya lar lama tunggu order...aiyarkkk! rupanya si waitress ngokngek tu tak place order T__T
Dah re-place, mee plak tak dak! okey, order basil beaf lahh...basil leaf plak habishhh!!! OMG! [apsal korang tak tutup jer restaurant korang nie?]
Finally order mee hailam...uweeekkk...tak lar best sangat. After dinner, proceed to village grocer sebab nak replace dinner yg tak best tu with fruits :)

Tetiba!...jeng...jengg...jenggg.......ternampak young tau foo...Plinkk!! terus roh masak datang, selera pun berubah...heheeee... I grabed 2 packets of readymade yong tau foo and headed home ;) sampai rumah jer terus cetett dapur...jom masak jomm!

I called this fast & furious yong tau foo sebab nak masak nie senang jer...[lagi lama kalo berus gigi] tapi resepi dalam omputeh taw...sebab Fast & Furious kan citer omputeh...

Method:

1) Saute shallot, garlic & anchovies
2) Add water and leave to simmer. Add 1 chicken/beef cube stock and bring to boil
3) Add yong tau foo [hard veggies go in first] and boil for 5 minutes
4) Flavour with salt & sugar [if necessary]
5) Serve immedietly!

Well.....that was fast & easy right? [kacang jer....] btw, waktu nak plating/serving, tak payah cedok ikan bilis skali. The purpose to add anchovies tu utk dptkan flavour/stock sajer.

Lagi sedap makan masak sendiri kat rumah dari makanan kat luar...huhuuuuu
erkkk....dua kali dinner lar semalam....owhhh O.O

pssttt! iklan: Congrats Khairi & Ethan sebab won the TARA4 episode last nite. Malaysian team rowkkk! they seem not so tough & no muscles at all. Khairi is so patient, and Ethan is so cute like teddy bear :) but they are both awesome smart & brilliant!yeahhhhh! go! go! go!

Sungguh lega, aman dan tenang sangat rasanya sekarang ^_____________^
sebab si bibik mulut rompong sebelah rumah tu dah blah balik indon. 2 years contract dah abess...minta doa sangat si rompong tu tak sambung lagi...Memang konpom tok-tok dialah "kepala" kepada segala hingaq bingaq dan perangai loqlaq kat area rumah chek..huh! ~___~

Sekarang dah tak der lagi mesyuarat tingkap kat lorong belakang rumah. Dah takder lagi suara2 jebon yang ketawa terbahak-bahak, terjerit-jerit tak tentu hala!

dan si majikan pun dah tak hon-hon kereta lagi. Pandai pulak buka gate sendiri....kalau tak, satu hari 3-4 kali bunyi hon walaupun dah 11.30pm! nyaman dan senyap sekali rasanya bila duduk kat rumah sekarang nie, especially on weekends :) barulah namanya hormat menghormati sesama jiran tetangga....alhamdulillah

Merah sebab sexy~~awwww!! [bayangkan bila hujung minggu cek amik upah kontrak hard core house cleaning kat rumah cek tu...fuhhh!! sah-sah cek memang sexy (aceh!) tambah pula dgn 'assistant merah' yang juga sungguh menawan :))) baru lah semangat nak kemas rumah..yeeehaaa!

Tapi...why Electrolux? ntah lar...for me mungkin this is the most trusted brand kot. Sebab vacum kat rumah mak cek pun brand nie jugak. Dari tahun 1988 sampai sekarang 2010 masih bulih pakai lagi...hebat kan? Harap2 yang nie pun lasting lar jugak..insyaallah...

Cuba tengok, hose dia~~~ stainless steel lagi taw! kali nie confirm tak patah...hahahahaaa
Almaklumlah, punya rajin bekerja sampai bulih patah hose pvc/plastic :P
This type of model, is bagless. Meaning that, segala habuk yang disedut akan terus masuk ke dalam removable/ washable special compartment. So, lebih mudah & bersih.
and another thing, ia lebih senyap. Almaklumlah, ada some vacum tu, ON jer sebatu dah dengar dengungggggggg....hahahaaaaa

Tara! itroducing my former 'assistant' cek yang dulu...ala-ala keta kontrol....and look at the connection hose O.O

Lemah lembut sangat. Dalam 4-5yrs, inilah hasilnya. Tebal selofantape & duck tape dah berinchi-inchi dah. Sepatutnya ada lagi satu hose, tapi totally dah worn out..hancusss. So tinggal satu jer hose...mana larat nak bongkok sambil memvacuum cik jah oiii...sakit orat

After 1 month bought this, suddenly rosak. Tempat tarik/gulung wire tu tak function. Pastu after 6mths pakai, motor plak rosak T_T
memang jahat gilos brand/machine nie...fenat cek ulang alik Jusco (beli kat jusco) and service centre. Mana tak hangin...baru beli/pakai dah mcm2 hal...bukan sekupang dua kupang ~.~
Tapi, alhamdulillah...after segala kesusahan, sampai sekarang keta kontrol kunin nie masih lagi berfungsi secara sihat. Tak perlah, simpan jer buat spare :)
Walo macam mana sekali pun, cek patut berterima kasih kepada keta kontrol kunin nie, sebab dah bertahun ia kerja dengan cek for free jer. Sebab ia jugaklah, rumah cek selalu bersih & nyaman. Sekarang, bolehlah ia 'rehat' seketika :)
....and to you, liltle red sexy thing...we gonna be a good team...yeahhhh! wink! wink!

Drying fresh herbs that you have grown yourself will be really save your money. Moreover, in Malaysia, it is quite hard to get these English herbs [fresh or dried]. Normally they are widely available at hypermarkets at very expensive price O.O

It's been raining almost everyday for the past one month...WeeEEeeeEE~~~~ and as a result of this cold & good weather, my oregano grows beautifully & bushy. It's such a waste because I rarely cook at home lately...opppsss...ahaks! [banyak open house raya lahh]

So, I decided to prune my oregano to encourage new leaves and make them as dried herbs :)

My self grown fresh herbs. Basil, Oregano & Thyme

Basically, they are 2 types to dry your herbs;
1) Air-drying
2) Drying in the oven

And I picked the simplest & environmental way!..... Air-drying :))

Gather the herbs in bunches and tie each bunch of stems with string, leaving a long end.

My dried herbs in the making hanging with my completely dried bunch of roses +statice
Using the long end, hang the herb bunches upside down in a cool, dry place until they are completely dried.
For best flavour, try to use dried herbs within 4 - 6 months after preserving them. Once dried, crumble the leaves with your hands and keep it in a jar. They are ready to be used in recipes.
Happy trying! :)

I don't remember a witch ...but there was a black adorable cat who sat down beside me and told me that "I'm a cat who has strong legs, beautiful heart and the ♥ of thrills, I like to climb things - including hills. I ♥ pink and I ♥ cat and again the black cat told me that I'm a lovely friendly Pienkcat"
