Ishhhh! nie yang malas nak masak sedap-sedap nie, 3 kali makan nasik dalam satu hari!  owhhh no!

Kebetulan, aunty neighbour bagi buah betik cumel..bukan sebijik...5 bijik! toing! apa lagi cepat jer otak yg bergeliga nie putar-putar nak buat apa dgn betik nie. Kaedah2 untuk mendemookkan badan..lol Actually, betik jenis mini ni, kalo makan dah masak mmg sedap sangat. Manis sangat. Satu simpan nak buat cecah garam belacan..awww! mebelessss :D, satu bagi my sister [kedekut...bagi dia satu jer..hahahaa], satu lagi nak buat gulai dengan ayamlah! yeyyyy! gulp!

Cuma tak sangka bila dah kupas betik, isi di dalam hampir masak tapi masih keras. Tengok kulit luar macam hijau muda lagi. Tapi takpa, no worries, gulai ayam betik tetap diteruskan...heheee
Sebaiknya, kalau cikjah nak masak menu nie, cari betik muda yang isinya berwarna kuning pucat.



The Ingredients:

Chicken
Young papaya
Coconut milk
Curry powder
1tbsp chili paste
2 onions [blend]
4 cloves garlic [blend]
2cm ginger [blend]
1cm galanggal [blend]
1 lemon grass [blend]
Garlic, shallot & 1 lemongrass [bashed]
Curry leaves
Small amount of cinnamon, star anise & cloves
Salt & sugar
Water
3tbsp tamarind juice

Methods:

1) Saute garlic, shallot, lemongrass, curry leaves, star anise, cinnamon & cloves until fragrant.
2) Add curry paste [mix curry powder with the blended ingredients & chili paste]. Cook until almost dried.


3) Add in the chicken and simmer for 1-2 minutes.



4) Add coconut milk & tamarind juice [add a liltle bit of water if too thick].
Simmer slowly until boil partly cooked



5) Add sliced papaya, salt & sugar to taste. Leave to boil again under slow heat.
It's done when papaya is tender.
