
Selamat Berpuasa to everyone! How time flies...sekejap jer dah Ramadhan..Pejam celik in few weeks dah raya...hermmm...
Ikan Merah (red snapper) 




This year 1st Ramadhan falls on Saturday, 22nd August 2009. It's a good chance to have nice lovely home cooked iftar.
Few days before fasting, i've stocked up my groceries...manalah tahu kalau2 semangat memasak datang...hahahahah :-P Lagipun, dengan kekalutan pendamic H1N1 ni, rasa a bit scared to go to Pasar Ramadhan.
Went to Tesco earlier, nak tengoklah kalau2 ada ilham nak masak apa...tapi nothing came up..Blur :-(
Entah macam mana tiba2 rasa nak masak Asam Pedas Ikan Merah...aha! It's been ages since my last cook of asam pedas.
The ingredients (blended items)
20pcs dried chilies
1 onion
1 onion
3 cloves garlic
1cm shrimp paste
slice of galangal + ginger
1 stalk lemongrass

Laksa leaf (Daun kesum)
Torch ginger
Lady finger
Tomatoes
Tamarind juice
Water
Salt & sugar to taste
Method
Heat the oil and stir fried blended ingredients until it's cook
Add tamarind juice & water let it simmer for few minutes

Add fish, torch ginger, laksa leaf, salt & sugar to taste and cook for 10 minutes

Finally add lady finger & tomato and simmer under slow heat for another 10 minutes

Done!
